League of California Cities (Cal Cities)
The League of California Cities is an association of California city officials who work together to enhance their knowledge and skills, exchange information, and combine resources so that they may influence policy decisions that affect cities.
California State Association of Counties (CSAC)
The primary purpose of CSAC is to represent county government before the California Legislature, administrative agencies and the federal government. CSAC places a strong emphasis on educating the public about the value and need for county programs and services.
County Engineers Association of California (CEAC)
The County Engineers Association of California (CEAC), formed in 1914, is comprised of county engineers, public works directors, county road commissioners, and professional personnel throughout California’s 58 counties. Its purpose is “To advance county engineering and management by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information aimed at improving service to the public.
California Regional Transportation Planning Agencies (RTPA)
Regional Planning Agencies are public organizations encompassing multi-jurisdictional regional communities. With state and locally-defined boundaries, they serve the local governments and citizens in the region by dealing with issues and needs that cross city, town, county and even state boundaries.
California Rural Counties Task Force (RCTF)
The Rural Counties Task Force consists of 26 Rural Regional Transportation Planning Agencies in California. In order to provide a direct opportunity for the small counties to remain informed, have a voice, and become involved with changing statewide transportation policies and programs, a task force was formed in 1988 as a joint effort between the California Transportation Commission (CTC) and the rural counties.
Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC)
Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is the transportation planning, coordinating and financing agency for the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area.
