We looked at the productivity of all our tasks, and assessed the value for each task. Our goal was to maximize the productivity of high value tasks performed by Streets crews. Using computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) data, we developed unit cost estimates for all our activities. We determined what tasks were best suited for our crews and for contractors to perform.
