Project Description
The McClellan Road Bikeway Improvement Project is a multi-phase safety project that aims to install separated/Class IV bike lanes on McClellan Road between Torre Avenue and Imperial Avenue. The first phase of the project created a physical separation between motor vehicles and bicyclists along a portion of McClellan Road that serves four different schools (elementary, middle, high school and college). The work included installation of a raised physical barrier, traffic signal improvements, placement of delineators to increase visibility of the bicycle lanes, and enhanced striping.
